The Interprofessional Healthcare Education micro-credential is awarded to students who demonstrate the ability to describe and apply the core competencies of interprofessional healthcare.
To earn this Level II Badge, you must demonstrate your ability to describe each of the core competencies of interprofessional healthcare and apply these competencies when working in interprofessional healthcare scenarios. To showcase your ability, you can expect to complete online learning modules alongside project-based and experiential opportunities in conjunction with faculty members.
You should pursue this micro-credential if:
You are an undergraduate or graduate student at Quinnipiac
You are pursuing a degree in healthcare
You are interested in graduating with distinction and showcasing your commitment to interprofessional healthcare education
All learners who meet the criteria will earn a Level II Badge.
Complete four online learning modules and/or formal case studies, totaling about 20 hours of dedicated learning. You must also complete reflection essays and review feedback from faculty.
Complete 20 hours of experiential learning activities in interprofessional healthcare, including a series of seminars with interprofessional teams of students.
Complete 20 hours of project-based learning through interprofessional healthcare community service, leadership activities in interprofessional healthcare or facilitation of interprofessional seminars.
Assessment of completion of micro-credential requirements is completed by a committee of faculty experts evaluating learners artifacts aligned with a rubric.

This program must be completed in-person and is offered at no cost to current Quinnipiac students. The time to earn the micro-credential depends on the speed with which you complete the modules and hands-on activities.
These badges signify that learners are able to perform or produce an observable product that will be useful in professional environments. Subject matter experts will evaluate the artifacts produced by learners for quality.
By earning a micro-credential, learners across a wide array of industries, verticals and professional fields are able to showcase the acquisition of specialized knowledge that offers unique value in the workplace. Micro-credentials are flexible and versatile, designed and delivered in an accelerated format by our experienced faculty and industry thought leaders who understand critical shortages and skills gaps.
All students who complete a micro-credential associated with academic credit or co-curricular experiences will receive a designation on their transcript and a digital badge through Credly. Micro-credential earners are encouraged to share their achievements on resumes, social media platforms and e-portfolios.
Learners can begin their pursuit of micro-credentials at any level; individuals who are new to the field are best suited for Participation or Level I badges, whereas experienced professionals might be more interested in advanced Level III Badges or Level IV Certifications.
